Abstract (EN)

TS 18001:2004 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is an approach consisting of the systematic efforts made in order to protect workers against occupational accidents and diseases; and to provide them a better and safer work environment.In todays competitive conditions, organizations are making efforts ensuring workers safety and being attuned to European Union?s directions, in order to survive. The REACH directive stipulates the chemicals to be registered and to be assessed as part of the efforts for the adaptation to the EU, and this is important for companies to export as well as for the health of the workers.In this thesis, it is examined what kind of effects the REACH directive can have on TS 18001:2004 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and a risk assessment method related to REACH is included. This thesis is a guiding light for the companies at the registeration stage of REACH.
