Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to reveal the theory of work stress and employees performance. NGOs helping Syrians in Gaziantep Province were included in the scope of the study. A theoretical model including the effect of work stress on employees performance was developed and main and sub-research hypotheses were formed based on the model created. In this concern, a comprehensive study was carried out for three non-profit organizations in Gaziantep. In addition, the effects of the demographic factors of the employees on stress and performance were put in the study. Within this research, a questionnaire measuring work stress and performance levels was applied to 87 employees. In the analysis of the collected data, Pearson correlation and Regression tests were used to determine the relationship, and "Independent Sample T Test" and "One Way Variance (ANOVA)" analyses were used to reveal the differentiation of the relationship in terms of demographic variables. As a result, significant statistical relationships were found between employees performance and work stress. When the results of the regression analysis were examined, it was determined that work stress caused a 16.7% change on performance. In addition, it has been revealed that there are statistically significant differences between demographic factors, work stress and employees performance.
