The coordination and control of current economic activities that are gradually increasing in volume and speed have become more important with globalization and unstable market conditions. In this context, the cities with adequate infrastructure have advantages over others and thus gaining coordination and control functions of activities. On the other hand, cities with abundant labor and lax environmental regulations have transformed into areas of manufacturing. The purpose of this study is to analyze how firms employ the telecommunication and information technologies to locate production processes on a global scale, examine roles of cities with different capabilities and impacts of this new economic geographic reconfiguration on work relationships. 10
