The effect of loneliness peception in business life on career development: A field study on store employes in İstanbul

In today's conditions, people work to teach the point where they intend to come planning career development with the help of their knowledge, skils and experience. In this process, empoyee' s personel values, attitudes and perceptions of loneliness in business life affect their career developent . Here we can say that the business environment in which individuals are involed in the formation of personal values . Business life is environment which social people come together with the another people and perform their performances for aspecific purpose. Accordigly, organizations are influenced by the individual needs of the employee to achieve their goals. Nowadays, these foremost kind of requirement, without doubt, the psycho Individuals who can not meet these needs in the organization they work for may feel lonely in their business logical needs of the employee and the need for social relations with other people. In accordance with this, purpose of research is to determine the effect of store employees' perception of loneliness in business on career development. In accordance with this aim, sample of this research consistes on 344 store employees of the Hiltown AVM in İstanbul. As a data collection facility, survey method is used. In the survey there are the scale of loneliness in business at in the first section, the scale of career development in the second the section, and the demographic datas in the third section. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS Statistical Package Program. In the analysis of the data, percentage, frequency, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, factor and reliability analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis methods were used and the collected data was interpreted in appropriate to the purpose of the research. As a result of the study, it was found that the perception of loneliness in business did not have any effect between the emotional deprivation dimension and career development, but a significant effect was found between the social companionship dimension. This finding, while showing store employees having social companionship extent dimension care about career development, store employees having emotional deprivation dimension do not care about career development.
