Abstract (EN)

Being one of the leading structures of the Anatolian(Turkish) architecture and as well as of the period of principalities İsa Bey Mosque has an important place in the works of the 14th century with its widthwise progressing mosque site and its clustered court uniting from the North. The origin of its schematic plan is based on Syrian architecture (and) the first example related to this plan is the Şam Emeviye Mosque. (Being) a tradition in Syrian architecture and (having been) brought to İsa Bey Mosque via the mediation of an architecture from Şam, the high mosque schema plan was handled with an entirely new understanding of dimension (here). Not only ornaments [which are] worth to be examined, the work reflects and evokes the period and place it is in relation with in a very good way. The cloistered court which brings in a new approach touch to the habitual conventional mosque architecture of its time, İsa Bey Mosque, with its front understanding of different styles tried upon its surface and its twin minarets, was one of the most important determinants in the formation of selatin mosques structure customs in ottoman architecture. This work-starting with the examination analysis of the conditions of the architecture of west Anatolian principalities period in which the structure was built- continues with the history Aydınoğlu principalities and its impact upon architecture, revealing different peculiarities owned by the Seljuk's. The results of the findings of the aforementioned works reveal clearly that the area place on which İsa Bey Mosque was constructed, is not of a coincidence Within the light of İsa Bey Mosque's architecture and philosophy, ceramic works were shared with art-lovers in this practice report.
