Abstract (EN)

Nowadays there are continuous change and innovations, importance of employee empowerment increases in order to gain rivalry advantage and superiority on competitor firms. Taking authority and responsibility of employees on their jobs, making decisions themselves, namely empowering them to increase organizational productivity and effectiveness. There are employees identify themselves with their job and organization, harmonize their aims and targets with organization?s aims and targets in the concept of employee empowerment and organizational commitment. Employee empowerment affects organizational commitment so organization success and effectiveness increase, service quality increase, obtain competitive advantage. Therefore it is important that to determine if there is a relationship between employee empowerment and commitment in health organizations which are in service sector.The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of employee empowerment on organizational commitment in hospitals that are health organizations. For this purpose, a research was done in a university hospital in Eskişehir. The result of the research is there is an effect of employee empowerment on organizational commitment.Key Words: Employee Empowerment, Organizational Commitment.
