Abstract (EN)

In this Msc thesis, polymer based organik light emitting diode (OLED)with various active layer thickness have been fabricated and characterized. OLEDs were configured in a structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS(35nm)/Ir(mppy)3(%6wt%):PBD(%24):TPD(%9):PVK(%61)/LiF(0.7nm)/Al(100nm).Emissive layer of TPD:PBD:PVK:Ir(mppy)3 was deposited with thickness ranging of 91nm, 56nm, 42nm and 35nm. Thicknesses of the active layers of coated with spin coater have been determined by using profilometer. After that, thicknesses of active layer were optimized for efficient phosphorescent OLED device by determining the optical and electrical parameters. From the current density, luminance, voltage characteristics of OLED,proper thickness of the organic layer (56nm)was able to determined. The solution processed OLED device exhibited a turn-on voltage of 3.6V and maximum luminance of 575.5 cdm-2 at 2.8mA.
