Abstract (EN)

Anatolia which has been the meeting point of cultures since the early times of the history has been melting pot of the different cultures for thousands of years.Scythians who were dislocated by Massagetaeans at the end of the fights they made with their neighbors in broad Eurasian Steppes dislocated Cimmerians. Not being satisfied with this, Scythians came to Anatolia by following Cimmerians and fought with Urartus there. They established a ground for Urartian State to enter into collapse process at the end of this fighting. Cimmerians escaping from them devastated Gordium which was an important center of Phrygians by going further. Before Scythians came, cultural exchange had already started between Phrygians and Urartus. Fibula worn by Urartus and rock tombs are the most beautiful examples of this situation.Scythian tumulus and Phrygians tumulus are almost same with one another structurally. Urartian and Scythian military system and weapons used show similarity with one another. Our purpose in conducting this thesis is not to prove that Scythians, Phrygians and Urartus come from the same culture ethnically, but to show their similar and different aspects.Key Words1. Scythian2. Urartian3. Phrygian4. Culture5. Comparison6. Turkish
