The effect of workaholics of hotel employees on work-family conflict and job satisfaction

Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the workaholic tendency of hotel employers on work-family conflict and the effects of work-family conflict on work satisfaction. In this context, it has been carried out a survey on 498 hotel employer, working in the region of Alanya/Antalya. SPSS V.24 packaged software has been used to analyze the data obtained and carried out the validity and reliability analysis of each scale. After the exploratory factor analysis, it has been applied the confirmatory factor analysis whether the model is valid and finally performed the road analysis for hypothesis tests. According to results found, it has been determined that overwork and compulsive work, which are the subbranches of the workaholic scale are a positive effect on work-family conflict. However, it has been concluded that overwork and compulsive work affects work satisfaction positively and negatively, respectively. Lastly, it has been understood that work satisfaction does not affect work-family conflict.
