Understanding levels of concepts of ?reform, administrative reform, constitutional monarchy, republic and freedom concepts?: Options of 11. grade students

Inthisresearch it wasaimedfortheconcepteducationtoimportance in historylessonfort he studentstohavetheirlevelsunderstandingtoconcepts of ?Reform, Administrative Reform, Constitutional Monarchy, RepublicandFreedom? in thislessonand fort he teachers to their opinion about concept education.Themethots of gualitative and guantitative research was used in this study. It was developed a poll in order to clearupper concepts in history lessons to levels of understood by the students and an interwiew in order to determine fort he teachers to their opinions about concept education.The poll was prepared multi-altarnative and graduated methods, the interview was constiruted from openended guestions. This poll and interwiew were applied to 397 students and 10 history teachers randomly selectedin three highschools in Buca, İzmir. The data elicited through these instruments were analyzed by using SPSS 15 for Windows and it was used to percentile count in statistics analiyzes. Somewhat, the answers given by the students was analysed and categorised into groups showing their level of understanding.In the result of research, it was exposed for students? %71? ?Constitutional Monarchy?, % 64,7? ?Reform?, % 58,4? ?Republic?, %62,7? sinin ?Freedom?, % 35,9? ?Administrative Reform? can?t understand at concepts in the adequate level. Somewhat, it eas fixed fort he teachers to in spite of noticeimportance of concepteducation, don?t claim to process with method of tratational to the lessons and adequate unconsider importance to concept education.
