Analysis of surah Talaq in the context of dissolution of marriage in İslamic law

The thesis, consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction, information was given about the purpose, importance, limitation, method, literature and presentation of the research. In the first part, general information was given on the issues related to the dissolution of marriage by using classical and contemporary sources without going into too much detail. In the second part, we tried to analyze the Surah Talak in the context of ending the marriage in Islamic law, which is the main subject of our thesis. Analyzes were made about our subject by making use of the classical period Islamic sources, especially the Qur'an and Sunnah, and today's sources. Comparisons were made and differences or similarities were revealed. In terms of content, subjects such as talak, witnessing in talaq and idda, idda, where the woman will stay during idda, the responsibilities of men and women regarding breastfeeding in case of divorce, and the right of women to alimony during iddah were evaluated. In the conclusion part, our research was completed with a general evaluation. Keywords: Talâk, Talâk Sura, Idda, Alimo
