Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to determine the effects of decision-making styles of managers working in industrial enterprises operating in the private sector on crisis management. All organizations sometimes find themselves in a crisis before one ends and crisis processes that are not managed well are devastating for organizations. In our study, it was ensured that the management activities were examined in terms of the decision-making style of the managers in a broad and scope to cover both the pre-crisis period and the post-crisis period. In the light of the above, it can be said that the study will contribute to the deficiency in the literature and will be important in this respect. In addition, the results of the research will reveal the importance of managers' decision-making styles in managing the crisis before, during and after the crisis, and will remind managers and employees of the sensitivity of the issue in this sense. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the decision-making style of managers has an impact on crisis management. At the same time, it is concluded that the results of crisis management (before the crisis, during the crisis and after the crisis) vary according to the decision-making style of the managers. In this context, the decision-making styles that affect the organizational results positively and negatively were determined, and determinations were made about the pre-crisis activities in crisis management, the activities applied during the crisis and the post-crisis effects, as well as the learning styles of an effective manager. This study contributes to the literature both theoretically and practically. The contribution in implementation of the study, with a wide range of decision-making style encompasses a combination of the effects of the crisis management process and is being tested for the first time in Turkey.
