Abstract (EN)
Communication in the workplace is the means of linking employees and inducing cooperation between them in various situations that can arise during business processes, starting from the rise of a business need, through the sales process and continuing with post-sales support. The place of non-verbal communication within this communication cycle and employee perspectives regarding the subject, directly affect the manner in which business is conducted and in turn affects the results of the work. For these reasons the role of non-verbal communication in the workplace and its significance is great. In this study, the importance of communication and the interpretation of nonverbal communication have been researched due to communication being one of the most important necessities in the lives of humans who are naturally social beings. For this purpose, initially, the concept of communication was defined and then the characteristics and principles of communication, the communication process and finally types of communication were laid to establish the basis for establishing the role and importance of body language (nonverbal communication) within communication. This literature consists of research investigating communication, non-verbal communication and its effects on employee relationssupported with academic scientific studies and articles. In order to investigate the hypotheses generated from these materials a questionnaire was used to gather information from employees of a company operating in the retail industry. According to the research and applications, it has been found that non-verbal communication has a direct impact on employee relations. There is a direct relationship between employee relations and the use of non-verbal communication.
