Noyan OĞULATAThis paper employs logistic regression analysis to test a model that predicts theimplementation or non- implementation of Environmental Management SystemsStandards (EMSSs). To this extent, two groups of organizations were surveyed. Thefirst group of companies that were surveyed had implemented EMS standards,similarly we surveyed the second group of companies which had not implementedEMS Standards. The research is based on a questionnaire survey. The statisticallysignificant factors that effect the implementation decisions of the standards of thecompanies are determined by the χ2 test that analyse the obtained datas and thelogistic regression model is applied for this factors. The variables which are effectivefor the implementation decision standards of the companies are that ISO 9000 seriesstandards implementation, foreign shareholders requests, suppliers pressure,customer pleasure, waste segregations, firm size, process redesign implementationand produce environmental firendly products.Key Words : ISO 14000, Environmental Management Systems, LogisticRegression, MotivationsII
