Abstract (EN)

The energy sector in the world is undergoingmajor changes and energy transformation is a key point on the technical, economic and political agenda of all countries of the world. The reason for this is the rapid increase in the world's energy demand and the provision of this demand primarily from fossil energy sources. In order to meet the increasing energy demand in a sustainable manner, new technologically and economically compatible approaches focusing on clean energy sources instead of limited and environmentally damaging fossil fuels need to be adopted. In recent years, research on clean energy systems has increased rapidly and various energy modelling strategies have been developed for transition. These energy modelling strategies are carried out at national, regional and local levels. This study is intended to be a transition map for Isparta province to 100% renewable energy in the future. The study includes economic and technical analysis of renewable based energy scenarios. In this thesis, EnergyPLAN, an energy simulation programme, has been preferred due to its many advantages such as multiple scenario analysis and data-driven approach. The programme was validated using the current energy consumption data of Isparta province for 2020. Then, 5 different modelling scenarios were carried out as business as usual scenario, base, 50%, 75% and 100% renewable energy scenario. In addition to the technical and economic results for Isparta province, with socio-economic and socio-political approaches, it is seen that in the future, 100% renewable smart energy systems can meet the entire energy demand from local resources.
