Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation of leather accessories course in the art and vocational training courses

The purpose of this study, is to examine and expose the qualification of Leather Accessories course, according to the views of the course participants of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses, (ISMEK) which has an important place for adult education.Population of the study are, 2009-2010 Education and Vocational Training Courses of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Art Leather Accessories Uskudar Branch Course?s ongoing and graduate trainees. Totaly, 40 trainees were given a questionnaire which was prepared by expert opinions, and the obtained datas were evaluated in the SPSS package program. To interpret the results of research are shown in the tables, which the distributions of the datas were based on the frequency and percentage.When the datas obtained in the study were evaluated, Leather Accessories lesson trainees were loving and willingly participated. That the majority of trainees are satisfied with the products they produce in the course or even generate revenue by selling these products in various exhibitions that have been identified. It has been understood that the tools and instruments used in the courses are deficient according to the evolution of technology and some difficulties occur, while obtaining mandatory supplies.Key words: education, adult education, vocational training, ISMEK, handicrafts, leather, tanning, leather accessories.
