Abstract (EN)
Throughout history, people have left various artworks that belong to different cultures. Some of these artworks are tombstones. Although tombstones vary according to geography, culture and religion; they are unique in materials, ornament and technical features. Ottoman gravtombstones; as in other architectural areas of the Ottoman Empire, produced by modeling and improving past tombstones. When Ottoman era graveyards are studied, it is obvious that graveyards are not only burial sites but also a colorful representation of the culture, are and literature of the era. In the light of this, it can be said that it has research value. The tombstones in the Çorlulu Ali Pasha Kulliyes, one of the Ottoman graveyards that contain many information worthy of research, were tried to be studied for this reason. Kulliyes has a very important place because it is placed in a very important place in Istanbul for its era and the tombstones that were studied were shed light on many information about 18th-19th centuries. In the scope of the study, 37 headstones and 28 footstones were identified in 39 tombs, of which 20 were male, 17 were female and 2 were unidentified. While twenty-three of the tombs were dated to the 19th century and nine to the 18th century, no information could be found about the seven of them. Mostly stone and marble materials are used in these tombs, with herbal and geometrical ornament. Three types of tombstones were identified; cist, capstone and sand stone; whihc were designed using different ornamentation techniques such as embossing, engraving and engraving. Considering the importance of these tombstones that were studied and dated, it has been tried to be examined considering all aspects. First of all; literature review, field study and photography of the tombstones is done. Then the inscriptions were read and gravestones were drawn. Following these studies; the data obtained were analyzed and evaluated and the academic work was completed by transferring the data to digital environment.
