Examination of special design stands in istanbul furniture fairs for interior

The exhibition is a series of actions that have been around since the beginning of humanity. It has been transformed into a sector, organizations have become increasingly interesting for both the visitors and the customers by adopting a commercial structure. In line with this increasing demand, a professional service network has been established with structuring in which many disciplines take place today through fair organizations. Interior design which has an important role within these disciplines is the subject of this study that focuses on the design decisions of display units that serves commerce. From this point of view, this study focuses on national and international furniture exhibitions in Istanbul (Imob and Ismob). The aim of this study is to examine the interior design of stands in terms of interior space and manufacturing of these structures. After the introduction part where general information is explained, the development of the exhibitions in Turkey has been discussed conceptually afterwards. In addition to that, specialized stand design has been examined in detail in the national and the international furniture fairs in Istanbul (Imob and Ismob). As a result: this study shows that special design stands at furniture fairs give customers different spatial experiences through exhibits. In addition to contributing to the literature, there is a benefit of the professional activities of interior design with increasing the contribution of the designer in order to meet the expectations of both participants and customers are guided by fair organizations` well-informed decisions.
