Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, negativities in both the public and private sectors can cause negative outcomes that affect the working individuals and the organizations they are working at. Behavior of presenteeism and feeling of burnout, which are among these negative results, draw attention as concepts that we frequently encounter in working life recently. Inability to presenteeism, which is defined as the inability of the individual to fully engage in work despite being at work, affects the emotions and condition of the person in the short term, but also causes negativities within the organization since it also affects the working life in the long run. The concept of burnout, which emerges as a result of presenteeism, causes negative returns for the person and the organization. In this context, organizational factors affecting presenteeism and burnout, which constitute the main frame of the research; nepotism, job insecurity and bullying were determined and a research model was created with the hypotheses developed in this direction. The research was carried out through a questionnaire consisting of 92 questions on five-star hotel employees operating in the Antalya region in 2021-2022. The prepared questionnaire was transferred to the participants determined by the convenience sampling method and a total of 282 answers were obtained. For the research, the scopes translated into Turkish were preferred and the necessary permissions were obtained in writing. The data were analyzed through the package program and the research hypotheses were tested. The results reveal the relationship between organizational factors affecting presenteeism and burnout. Consequently, it is estimated that the study will be beneficial for future researchers and practitioners.
