Work analysis and simulation approach for occupational health manpower planning

According to Constitutional Law and to Main Law of Health Services, theMinistry of Health was authorized by the education of occupational physicians andthe planning of how many people should be employed in occupational health system.The number of doctors are insufficient in our country and in 53 countries of WHOEuropa,Turkey is 52. For example; Lithuania is 7, Estonia is 27, Macedonia is 44,Azerbaijan is 13 and Armenia is 14.In normal population, 1 to 35 people are using health service daily. Thisnumber is1 to 130 in occupational health services. Because of insufficient number ofdoctors in our country, 1 to 3500 ratio was planned in Family Medicine System. Itshould be noted that the majority of this population is infants, pregnants, maternity,chronic patients and bedridden.In this study, our aim is to re-organize the manpower planning of employment of occupational health physician according to international standarts inour country which has a very insufficient number of physicians. The performance ofresults were tested with simulation modelling.
