Abstract (EN)

MEDICAL INFORMATICS -OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: AN ANALYSIS FORREQUIREMENTS Objective:Occupational health; is the branch of science that aims to protect all employees from any health hazards of the work by taking necessary precautions; which also includes control and education. Electronic Health Record (EHR) is electronic patient information created by any health department / person with electronic records. In this study occupational physicians attitudes toward EHR, competencies in information technology and the demographic features of them are analyzed. Method: A webbased surveyhad been applied for Occupational Physician's who have been certificated by ÇSGB. The survey contains 15 questions which are related with demographic features,1 question containing multiple choice (10 items) and the last part is for recommends. The survey was announced manually to Occupational Physicians by using e-mail, social media, and whats app. Results:415 men, 99 women attended to the survey. The range of the birth years is a 50 years period. (1941-1991) Datum was collected from 50 cities across the country. 174 doctor said ''yes'' for the question of occupational health records software with special programs. While it is possible to communicate with HR according to 113 physician, 57 physician can provide communication with colleagues. The16th questions's answers do not conflict with scientific publications. Occupational Physicians said ''yes'' for the support of EHR via ÇSGB and integration. Conclusion:The required software is not available for the use of EHR by occupational physicians and for integration of Occupational Health to national health system. According to results national health system can not use occupational physicians' datum for community health and statistics. Expectations of occupational physicians support the use of EHR and integration. The use of an EHR system will provide physicians better communication for health care and health statics.
