Abstract (EN)

The most probable route to be exposed to chemical substances is inhalation, therefore breathing air should be free from chemicals, dust, and gasses. Volatile organic and inorganic compounds along with inhalable dust and particles are the primary air pollutants at the working environments. Meteorological parameters such as heat, humidity, and the wind and ventilation conditions are also effective on indor air pollution. Above mentioned air pollutants cause health damages extending from chronic diseases to massive deaths when they are above the allowed doses. Thus, continuous control and monitoring of the air quality in working environments is extremely important. Although we have qualified man resources such as chemists and environmental engineers on the subject of air pollution analysis, there are gaps at the occupational health and safety component of the subject. We are in need of both detailed documents that comprise national and international standards and versatile qualified man resources on this issue. In this thesis, sampling of the air pollutant parameters, basic approaches to their analysis, and related standards will be handled and evaluated. The role of controls is enormous in ensuring and maintaining adequate air quality for workplace environments.These procedures consist of the steps of taking correct samples and analyzing the samples taken in accordance with national and international standards and taking into account the limits of determination (LODs). This prepared document has the potential to be an informative resource for all relevant stakeholders.
