Abstract (EN)
Automobiles are the most widely used transportation vehicles in the world. Automobiles have been working with an internal combustion engine for years. This engine emits CO2 gas, polluting the environment and causing global warming. To reduce this damage, all developed countries have started to use electric cars. The increase in electric and hybrid cars in Turkey has caused an increase in the load on the network. This increase will lead to the need for charging stations. There are charging stations in our country. But these stations are not enough and will not be enough. A renewable hybrid powered charging station, designed with photovoltaic panels and wind turbines, can supply this need. In this thesis, solar-wind hybrid powered charging station using solar and wind data was designed in a region determined in İzmir. As a result of the optimizations made, it was decided to install a station with two wind turbine of 200 kW and 1103 photovoltaic panels of 210 W to the selected region. This station will work 14 hours a day and will charge 5 electric vehicles per hour. 396280.5 kWh energy from the wind per year and 446869.5 kWh energy from the sun per year will be obtained. The depreciation time of the charging station is calculated as 15 years. With the help of this thesis, different designs of electric vehicle charging stations powered by renewable energy resources can be worked on in the future.
