Current stuation of contractual seed corn production signed in Kinik county of Izmir provience and its economical assessment

This study is aimed to show the existing situation of the maize seeding in certain region in 2005, to expose running of the system, to analyze the applications in production of contractual maize seeding, to determine problems in the applications of maize seeding production and propose solutions, evaluate economically this production sector and compare the other crops.In this study useful points of the contractual production are determined. Some problems are exposed in contractual production and proposed ways of solution. According to this study one of the wronged producer subjects is the producer discard rights. These discard rights must be paid back to the producer as a producer rights and for this subject the concerned ministries must be a part of an activity. On the other hand a solutions is proposed to the price applications.The general problems in producer side are price applications, arrangements that have to do in holder of a right (hakediş), necessity a better system in government support. Maize seeding analyzed economically and shown that has less advantage with comparing the other crops.Seeding agriculture is one of the most profitable sectors and according to largely about agriculture Turkey is country in European Union. Turkey has necessary researcher and ecologic conditions. So that Turkey can meet seeding requirements of EU and its neighboring countries. As a result of that Turkey is ready to become regional seeding center. It is necessary to make more regional researches which emphasize the importance of regional seeding, like this study.
