A research on the determination of the agricultural tractor purchasing parameters and the vision of the tractor purchase of İzmir- Küçük Menderes Plain farmers"

Objective: In this research, it was carried out in order to determine the purchasing parameters of agricultural tractors of the farmers of Küçük Menderes Plain of İzmir Province and to create a purchasing vision. Material and Method: A sample of 123 farmers from the Küçük Menderes Plain of İzmir Province constitutes the material of the study. A questionnaire consisting of questions including the reasons for purchasing tractors and the probabilities that affect or are likely to affect the sample were applied. Survey data were converted into statistical data and interpreted. Results: The main findings of the study are; tendencies to buy new and/or used tractors, ideal tractor replacement ages, popular tractor brands, equipment used with tractors, reasons for preferring new and old tractors, tractor purchasing resources, ideal horsepower for farmers in the region, satellite-assisted tractor knowledge and purchasing tendencies of regional farmers, thoughts about electric tractors, preferred payment and financial sources and preference when purchasing tractors The financial maturities can be summarized as. Conclusion: As a result of the study, the most commonly used equipment for equipment compatibility affecting tractor preferences was identified. The ideal tractor replacement age and the parallel between the age groups of the tractors were presented. The importance of the balance between the two sales channels was interpreted by interpreting the new and used tractor preferences and reasons. The incompatibility of tractor prices on the Internet with reality, the tendency of the region's farmers to satellite-assisted tractors and the preferred payment and financial instruments in the purchase of tractors were examined and the aspects open to development were emphasized.
