Method and Material Patients who were referred to the University of Dicle Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics with various complaints in a period of six months between dates of 01.06.2018 and 31.11.2018 were totally 7072. We excluded patients with pregnancies, systemic diseases, history of drug usage, active urinary tract infections, history of pelvic organ surgeries and body mass ındex (BMI) over 40. 999 of them could be incuded to study were subjected to OAB-V8 Over Active Bladder Questıonnaire Form. Patients who completed OAB-V8 questionnaire and scored 8 or more were diagnosed with OAB and asked to complete Kıng Health Questionnaire (KHQ). Data was evaluated with SPSS 17.0 package program. Results 171 of the 999 patients who were participant of the study included within our study (17.2%) were diagnosed with OAB. According to the KHQ performed on patients, highest scores for mood were reported by the group that expressed they have stopped using the prescribed medications because of the side effects and longevity of the treatment. We have found that OAB (29.24%) had a history of childhood enuresis nocturna. Tobacco usage rate in patients who were diagnosed with OAB was %45.35. Coital inkontinans were alse higher in OAB group. We have determined a positive correlation between general health condition, physical limitation, effects of incontinence, role limitation, social limitation, personal relationship, mood, sleep energy level, and symptom severity for all our patients diagnosed with OAB. Conclusion In our study we concluded that while the OAB is a common medical condition; patients do not view this condition as problem that should be treated by a medical professional, and keep living with this situation; and normalizing their situation by associating their condition with irrelevant factors. Also we consider the possibility of tobacco usage and childhood enuresis being risk factors other than known ones. We determined in our patients that mood and relationship with partners are also affected by severity of symptoms. We think increasing awareness of patients and medical professionals about OAB and decreasing risk factors may contribute to easier diagnosis and treatment, and increase patient's quality of life.
