Abstract (EN)

Women employment has become an important issue all over the world after the industrial revolution. Due to the need for labor force, women now have the opportunity to represent themselves outside the home. Although this looks positive, on the other hand there have undoubtedly been challenges. The need for cheap labor forces women to leave their homes, which resulted in them working long hours and with low wages. While jobs tend to raise capital for men, it is differentiated in the form of labor for women. Since the beginning of the history of humanity, the male-dominated social order has excluded women in business life. Gender discrimination has been at the forefront and the exclusion of women from traditional stereotypes has made it difficult to digest in terms of both society and family order. Many barriers were put up by the society, by the people themselves, by the institutions they work for, and it was necessary to be able to represent themselves somewhere by overcoming these difficulties. In this case, they have moved away from being career-oriented, especially in managerial positions, and some of those who turned to their careers faced various bullying by their fellows. This situation gave birth to the queen bee syndrome in institutions. In this study, the attitudes of female teachers and female administrators working under the Ministry of National Education towards each other in business life were examined in the context of queen bee syndrome. In the research, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used and the subject was discussed in detail with a total of 30 participants, 15 administrators and 15 teachers, whose gender was more than 50% female in the institution studied with criterion sampling model. As a data collection tool for the research, an interview form consisting of 13 questions other than demographic questions was created. Through interviews, the views of teachers and administrators on this issue were recorded and the data were analysed. The results and solution suggestions regarding the results are given.
