Abstract (EN)
This study examined the relationship between self-esteem and depression with education level in women. The aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between women's depression, self-esteem and education level. 205 volunteer women, randomly selected from different levels of education and living in Giresun, participated in the study. Among them, there are 17 primary school graduates, 25 secondary school graduates, 64 high school graduates, 44 associate graduates, 55 undergraduate graduates and postgraduate graduates. In order to collect data for this study, "demographic information form", "Beck Depression Inventory" and "Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale" were used. SPSS 22.0 package program was used to analyze the data. "Frequency" analysis method were used to determine the characteristics of the people who involves the sample. To determine the relationship between depression, self-esteem and level of education, the "one way variance analysis" was applied. As a result of the evaluations, it was observed that the educational level did not affect the depression score, on the contrary, there was an increase in self-esteem as the level of education increased.
