Özet (EN)
The research was carried out as a descriptive and cross-sectional study in order to determine the relationship between women's perception of supportive care at birth and birth satisfaction and postpartum depression and the affecting factors. The research was conducted between 01.02.2020 and 15.01.2021 at Adana City Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Adana Seyhan State Hospital of the Ministry of Health, affiliated to Adana Provincial Health Directorate. The population of the study consisted of women who gave birth normally in the relevant hospitals and the sample consisted of 389 women who volunteered to participate in the study. Ethics committee approval, institutional permission and informed consent were obtained from the women. Data were collected with Personal Information Form, Women's Perception of Supportive Care at Birth Scale (WPSCGLS), Birth Satisfaction Scale Revised Form (BSS-R), and Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS). It was determined that 22.9% of the women had high school or higher education, the mean age was 26±5.8 and the mean pregnancy average was 2.98±1.8, 76.6% were multiparous and %65,0 had planned pregnancies. The women's WPSCGLS total score average was 108.21±24.23, the BSS-R total score average was 20.62±6.11, the EPDS 1 mean score was 8.54±6.16 and the EPDS 2 mean score was 8.02±6,01. The EPDS 1 depression rate of women was 23.9 % and the EPDS 2 depression rate was 19.3%. According to the results of our research, it was determined that women's perception of supportive care at birth was high, birth satisfaction was moderate, and the risk of postpartum depression was low in the measurements made in the first 24 hours postpartum and in the second postpartum month. It has been observed that the perception of supportive care, birth satisfaction and postpartum depression status of women are affected by some socio-demographic and obstetric characteristics.
