Evaluation of wonen's body privacy i gynecological examination and obstetry

This research was conducted in a descriptive type in order to examine the effect of gynecological and obstetric examination on body privacy in women. The sample of the study consisted of 385 women who applied to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Ankara Etlik Lokman Hekim Hospital for gynecological and obstetric examination. The research was held between the dates of February 2022- December 2022. Socio-demographic survey form and Body Privacy Scale in Gynecology and Obstetrics were used to obtain the data in the research. In the analysis of the data collected within the scope of the research, frequency analysis (number, percentage, average, median man Whitney-U, Kruskall Wallis-H analysis and Spearman's rho correlation coefficient were used. Gynecology and women's score on the Body Privacy Scale in Obstetrics among from hydrangeas; the median value of general privacy is 4.56 (4-5), the median value of rights and privacy is 4.60 (4-5), ethics and the median value of privacy is 4.60 (4-5) and clinical privacy the median value was found as 4.70 (4.2-5). It has been determined that women are sensitive to clinical privacy, general privacy, patient rights and ethical privacy.As a result of the research, a statistically significant difference was found between the median values of general privacy according to what the gynecological examination means and the emotional variables experienced during the examination. (p<0,05). However, a statistically significant difference was found between the median values of rights and privacy scores according to the emotion variable experienced by women during the examination. (p<0,05). Additionally, a statistically significant difference was found between the median values of the clinical privacy score according to the variable of what the gynecological examination means (p<0.001). The applicant for the gynecological examination, it is recommended to provide education and counseling services for women to perform regular gynecological examinations and health checks, to spread them, to make them sustainable, and to take the necessary measures to improve women's health.
