Özet (EN)

This descriptive, cross-sectional research was conducted to determine the risk factors women's who gave birth before and during pregnancy. The universe of the research; were formed by 189 women who completed the pregnancy in 2011 in Ekinözü district. The entire universe was included to the research. The research data were collected by the researcher personally through the questionnaire prepared by searching the literature. Descriptive statistics and chi-square test were used in the evaluation of the data. It was determined that of the women in the research, 4.8% did not complete primary school education, 11.6% were married to relatives, 5.8 % were chronic diseases and 4.7% used drugs continuously. It was determined that 42,3% of the women who experienced the first pregnancies in the adolescence period and 1,1% in the age of 35 and over. It was found that 24.3% of the women had delivered 4 and more births. It was determined that 33,9% of all deliveries and 39,1% of the last deliveries occured at intervals of less than two years. It was found that 10,9% of all births, 13,8% of the last births were cesarean sections, 1,4% of all deliveries were at home, all of the last deliveries occurred in the hospital environment, 8,1% of all births with spontaneous abortion, 2,5% with stillbirth and 2,1% with voluntary abortion (abortion) and all of the last births resulted with live births. In recent pregnancies, it has been found that women have received prenatal care at least once, 66,7% of them were fully vaccinated, 1,6% used cigarettes and of pregnancy-related diseases appeared in 8,5%. It was determined that the first gestational age increased as the education level of the mother increased (p <0,05). İt was determined that when the mother's age increased, the number of pregnancies, the rate of giving birth at home, the voluntary abortion rate, the death of child under the age of five, the ideal number of children and the total number of children have increased (p <0,05). It was found that as the number of pregnancies increased, the rate of stillbirth and homebirth increased (p <0.05). Key words: Mother, Birth, Child, Pregnancy, Risk Factors
