Abstract (EN)

Earthquakes are one of the most destructive types of natural disasters and significantly impact many countries, including our own, in terms of loss of life and property. Notably, the earthquake centered in Pazarcık on February 6 in Turkey has ranked among the deadliest earthquakes globally. In our study, we examined the cases that presented to our emergency department due to the February 6 earthquake. We included trauma patients who presented due to the earthquake and analyzed various parameters that affect mortality. These parameters included age, gender, type of injury, mechanism of trauma, laboratory findings and trauma scores. Our study identified that factors affecting mortality included the type of injury, various laboratory parameters, and complications secondary to trauma. Parameters such as age and gender were not found to have a significant impact on mortality. KEYWORDS: Disaster, earthquake, trauma, mortality, crush sydnrome
