Abstract (EN)

Development period means simply advancing from current situation to progress further situation. Development period of each country shows difference from each other. While one development model gain favors development of a country, same model may not provide positive contribution to another country's development. Today, primarily China and India attract attentions due to their gaining acceleration about development and applying development models at their access point. In fact, those two countries are mentioned as "rising powers" in many sources. When performed researches are considered, it is obviously seen that those two countries have different development approaches from each other but they reached to serious level regarding to economical development. Briefly, when both countries' basic development approaches are considered, it is seen that state's determining role is more limited in India's economical development and India gave weight to private sector investments more. On the other hand, in China, market economy under state control is common but thanks to consciously leading role of state, saving policies and promotion policies, giving weight to technological investments so development was recorded. Objective of this study is to set forth basic factors of both countries through comparing economical development models of China and India which attracted attentions by their recent economical developments. It is thought that it will provide contribution to the literature regarding to showing providing economical success thanks to their different development models. Literature scanning method was used in this study. At the end of realized literature scanning, logical basis was established and then content section was prepared. Although there are so much information about development periods, economies, historical struggles and cooperation of China and India in literature; there is scarcely any study about comparing of development approaches of those two countries. It is considered that this realized study is important in this mean. Source books, assays, magazines, daily economical news, statistical data included in Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Development, thesis archive of Higher Education Council were benefited as primary information sources in this study. Also, the study was enriched with tables, graphics and also supported with numerical data.
