Abstract (EN)

In our country oral and dental health services which effects highly our life quality and general health ore provided both by publicand private sector. Dentists in caring oral and dental health which is necessary in terms of their occupaion, it is expected that they have to constantlay communicate with the patient in order to diagnose and treat in overy sufficient way. The main goal of this research is to analyze the problems that affect the communication betweon the physicion and patient that involvescertain characteristic features. This research has been prepared by source and literature scanning technique. In this research; communication, health communication, physician-patient dialogue, oral and dental services and factors that affect physician-patient communication have been analyzed. It has been stated that oaral and dental services are getting better in time but preventive services are not sufficient, and it can be understood that this service is given mainly for diognosis and prosthesis. It has been understood that time, active listening, trust, control, literacy level, communication skills of the dentist, stres, interest and respect, prejuolice are factors, that affect the dialogue between the physician and patient. It has been determined that treating oral and dental health, long – losting treament, fear of dentist and dental anxiety are the main problems between the dentist and patient.
