Land consolidation purposed expropration

Expropriation has to be as the final methods for land acquisition. The land which is to be expropriated can be acquired through land consolidation. However, the Public Sector in Turkey usually prefer expropriation as a method for land acquisition. Consisting above mentioned issues, this thesis consist of five major parts. In the second part; the forms of land usage and the reasons for land shatter are presented with graphics and charts. In addition to these, land usage situation without purpose and its affects are presented. Some institutions like the General Directorate of Rural Service (GDRS) and the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform (GDAR) are presented in the third part. The development of Land Consolidation Projects on the basis of their distribution by year land region is also presented in this part. Technical characteristics of land consolidation, and farmers priorities, is specified. In the fourth part, Expropriation Law and its implementation procedures are expressed. In the fifth part; the social, economic, time and cost effects of the expropriation and land consolidation are compared. The data gathered through the questionnaires conducted with the migrant local farmers, who had to migrate because of the expropriation in the Southeastern Anatolia Project are presented in this chapter. In the last part; data of the Land Consolidation Projects(LCP) which are performed in 1 0 different provinces by the Irrigation Department of the General Directorate of Rural Service, are analyzed. As a result of land consolidation is best of choice method to solve social, economic, cadastral problems in the rural areas.
