Abstract (EN)
The increase in population results in crowded cities. This population increase is directly proportional with the increase of the noise problem and its effects on people. Today it is well known that noise has negative effects on human work and production. Especially at western countries people are increasingly in need of psychologists with having problems like stress caused by noise. In the cities, definitely traffic is the main source of noise. From the early times of invention of car, it became the main part of transportation on ground and today it is a necessity. As mentioned above with more crowded cities, increasing vehicle traffic became the number one noise source. Within this study; the definition of traffic noise, studies done nowadays and what are the methods that we do in order to decrease noise are given.
