Abstract (EN)

Karachay-Malkar Turkish is a Turkish dialect with the features of Kipchak Turkish in terms of phonology, morphology and vocabulary spoken by Karachay-Malkar Turks living in the mountainous areas east and west of Mount Elbrus in the central parts of the North Caucasus region. Our thesis consists of three parts. In the first chapter, general information about Karachay-Malkar Turks and Karachay-Malkar Turkish, their ethnic origins, history, language and culture are given. In the second part, the concept of preposition is tried to be explained and the views on the classification of prepositions are given. In the third part, the prepositions in Karachay-Malkar Turkish are examined comprehensively with the examples obtained from the works printed in Karachay-Malkar Turkish and Cyrillic alphabet, and each preposition is analysed separately according to their functions and places of use.
