Folkloric evaluation of Karagöz texts

Karagöz has been reflectingmany aspects of social life with various characters and folklore elements. In this study that we've made basedon texts, many elements of folk science, transition periods of social life, cleaning, dressing and adornment forms, social norms and beliefs, folk medicine, folk calendar, units of measure, entertainment life, eating-drinking habits, special days-ceremonies, housing and economic life, naming, communication and transportation, Folk Literature products are revealed. Analyzed texts, reflect the folk culture on the screen, especially how the Ottoman multinational society structure was maintained in the view of folklore was tried to be conveyed with the obtained products.
