Abstract (EN)

Semi-rigid pavement (YRK) is a composite road material consisting of porous asphalt with 25-35% air voids content which is filled by grouting materials. This study aims to design a porous asphalt skeleton with 30% air voids content and to evaluate the performance of semi-rigid pavement. For this, porous asphalt designed with optimum bitumen content which was calculated by use of an empirical equation based on aggregate gradations. Finally, air voids content of porous asphalt were filled with grouting materials. Performance of YRK was calculated by the conducting of various experimental tests including Marshall stability, indirect tensile strength, cantabro and compressive strength test in three different curing time (3day, 7days, 28days) at the laboratory temperature. The results show that asphalt mixture with fiber provided the more air voids content of porous asphalt, while modified additive decreased the air voids content. Moreover, performance test results indicated that Marshall stability and compressive strength of YRK increased in 3 days, 7 days and 28 days respectively. In addition to this, Cantabro loss of YRK specimens decreased after 3 days due to the use of grouting materials in the air voids content of porous asphalt.
