Abstract (EN)
Highway projects are among the major engineering projects carried out in the field of transportation. With the developments in areas such as economy, trade, education, health, tourism, etc. in a country, the need for transportation also increases, and highway projects are an important element that meets this need. A highway project generally has design, construction and operation phases. Especially during the operation phase, deformation, deterioration and corrosion may occur on a highway pavement depending on usage and environmental conditions. These damages cause large amounts of maintenance, repair and measurement work, which results in large economic expenses. In addition, possible failures and risks in these studies cause these costs to increase even more. For this reason, identifying the possible risks that may be encountered in such repair, maintenance and measurement works and taking precautions will significantly reduce economic losses. In this study, firstly, the possible failures and risks that may occur in the highway superstructure were examined using the Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) method, and risk levels were determined by calculating the Risk Priority Numbers (RÖS) values for the 15 identified risks. Again, in case these risks and failures occurred, the precautions to be taken were investigated, and after these preventions were taken, the risk levels of the risks and failures were re-examined. While conducting this research, a survey was conducted with experts on the subject and ethical permission approval was received from Yalova University for this survey. The importance of these risks included in the FMEA analysis was tried to be determined by using Pareto and Analytic Hierarchy (AHP) methods. According to the Pareto analysis, among the 15 risks and failures that are likely to occur in the maintenance, repair and measurement works (Leveling, Lidar, Photogrammetric, Remote Sensing) during the highway operation phase, the first place is taken by the failures and risks arising from the vertical measurement works carried out for vertical deterioration in the highway pavement during operation. Among all the risks identified in the AHP method, the weight coefficient for this first risk was determined to be approximately 23% with 0.227. In addition, this study aims to provide guidance to technical and administrative personnel working in this field.
