Abstract (EN)

In today's world's tough competition conditions, One of the important rules of making a difference in businesses is to have the power of qualified human resources. For this reason, the qualities of the working human resources are an important factor. The way to improve employee qualifications goes far beyond the career management programs. Career management applications include practices that provide development through support from training and development activities. The main condition of retaining a qualified workforce is to provide employee satisfaction, and for this purpose, the main tasks of the human resources department are to remove the effects that cause the needs and dissatisfaction of the people. The effect of training and development activities applied within the scope of career management in the enterprises, has contributed to the failure of successful the trainings. The technical or soft skill training of the trainings applied, the variability of the education quality given, the content of the training, the characteristics of the trainer, the characteristics of the place to be trained are among the factors affecting the success of the training. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of training and development activities on the employees, while ensuring employee satisfaction. The survey was conducted to determine the effects of the employment, industry, service, trade and construction sector employees who provide the most employment in the enterprises according to TUIK statistics, to train and develop the training and development activities within the scope of career management in Istanbul. An online questionnaire consisting of 59 questions was applied to 440 people, 310 responses were found to be appropriate. Statistical analysis, correlation analysis, T-test and ANOVA tests were applied to the data analyzed in SPSS statistical program. All these test results reveal that perceptions about training and development activities in career management have an effect on employee satisfaction.
