Özet (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to discuss Karl Jasper`s point of view to the human in all aspects which is important in Existentialism. Within this purpose, while writing the thesis, karl jasper?s thoughts are referred. His works ?Introduction to Philosophy? and ?What is Philosophy?? have important clues to understand philosopher's thinking pattern. Except for his own works, as a second source, this thesis is drawn upon other works written about Jaspers and field studies focusing on the general existentialist thinking pattern. In our project highlighting Jaspers' thought of the human as being more than what is known, we tried to explain the human as a conscious being, the relationship between the love and entity with this conscious state and the link between human and the idea of freedom. The fact that human beings are different from other living beings and the existentialist aspect of human beings which distinguish them from other living cretaures on the earth have always been studied in limited terms up till today. Even human beings have often been examined and objectified as being like other living beings other than itself. Prior to the 20th century, the concept of ?entity? could be explained via positive sciences and scientific data. That is why Jasper?s approach to the human problem emerged as a criticism of this one-sided aspect of the human. Humans living in the 20th century had a life in which they were unaware of themselves, let alone becoming individualized. In other words, they were in a state of being lost. According to Jaspers, the human is anxious and could be saved from this time of crisis with the help of Existentialist Enlightenment that he gains through philosophical act. During this enlightenment period, he is not alone. He is in a state of fight with other hımans who are lost like himself. In this fight each human being struggles to exist for both himself and others, which is studied in detail in the second part of our thesis.Jaspers? human problem can be said to depend mainly on the Existentence problem. The human encounters a lot of problems on the way toward existence, In the last part of our thesis, we underline these problems and try to find solutions to boundary situations which, according to Jaspers, refer to the problems that humans cannot overcome easily.
