Abstract (EN)

Complex interval arithmetic is handled in three different types according to the regions where the variables take their values: rectangular, circular, and polar. The result of the interval operation should optimally contain all the possible values of the operation. For circular and polar arithmetic multiplication and division are optimal, but addition and subtraction are not. In rectangular arithmetic addition, subtraction and multiplication are optimal, whereas division is not. In this study, fast and accurate solution methods have been developed in order to perform the basic arithmetic operations of rectangles and polar optimally.
