Pages The purpose of this study is to be able to assess the social self efficacy in dating relationships of high school students with the opposite sex in the dimension of being able to start, carry on and end. During the development process of the scale content validity, construct validity, criterion-related validity and test re-test reliabilities were tested. For content validity, the initial item pool consisting of 91 items were evaluated by 379 students attending 3 different schools. After this pre-study to identify the construct validity 433 students attending 4 different schools were reached. The study of criterion-related validity was provided by the data obtained from 65 students and test re- test reliabilities were tested by using a sample, consisting of 83 students who were administrated the experimental form on two occasions three weeks interval. The results of the study indicated that the developing scale in the dimensions of being able to start, carry on and end are reliable and have good validity. Developing scale will not be evaluated as a total point, but it will be used as a subscale for the dimensions argued above.
