Turkey's role in EU's energy security over interdependency appoach

Energy is the ability of an object or a system to perform an action. In other words, energy is the potential power needed to apply force. Economically, the size of an economy is determined by the sum of the final products of that economy. The energy input is of rather large importance for creating the output of the product. Economies need intensive energy input in order to be in production and to sustain this production. Whether they have energy sources or not, the energy requirement grows as the economy grows. The geopolitical value of a region increases in direct proportion to the size of the relationship between the geographical areas in which the energy is produced and marketed. Countries owning energy resources have a place in the world as an absolute location.Energy is the most fundamental and entrenched need for economic and social development of an country. Fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal cover 87% of energy sources, although the energy consumed in the world today is derived from a large number of sources. Energy also affects international relations and the economic, political and social development of countries. The increase in energy consumption and the expectation of continuity of this increase are bringing along the desire of countries to reach their energy sources in cheap, uninterrupted and reliable ways. Countries are developing policies in this context. Turkey is a natural geographical bridge between the world's leading energy suppliers and large consumers in terms of her geographical location. Because of this position, our country, which has the potential of being a center and a corridor in terms of the transfer of energy, is of capital importance for global energy geopolitics and the safety of natural gas supply in Europe.
