Abstract (EN)
Coming as a result of developing technology, changing social and economic needs, casco insurance is a type of insurance that vehicle owners frequently apply because of some risks that may lead to economically wearing or destructive results if realized. The fact that the damages that may occur to those who have a financial interest in a vehicle are undertaken by the person called the insurer makes people feel safe. The source of the guarantee provided by the insurer is the casco contract. The subject of our study is casco contracts. The aim of our study is that the motor insurance contracts; Turkish Code of Obligations, which contains general provisions for private law contracts, Turkish Commercial Code, which contains common provisions for insurance types, and Land Vehicles Casco Insurance General Conditions, which form the basis of motor insurance contracts. In the first chapter, the historical development and importance of casco contracts, their sources, definition, qualifications, elements, establishment and amendment of the contract are examined. In the second part, the debts and obligations of the parties in the casco contract are examined. In the third chapter, the reasons for terminating the casco contract, succession, statute of limitations and dispute resolution methods are examined.
