Abstract (EN)

In this study, linear and geometric nonlinear optimization of the folded steel plate was performed. ANSYS package program was used for the analysis of folded steel plate. In the mathematical model of the dimensioning problem, structure volume, stresses and displacements as limiters are taken into consideration as the objective function. The study consists of five chapters. In the first section, the purpose of using the folded plate is explained. It is also illustrated by a few examples of why a folded plate is needed. In the second section, general information about folded plates is given. Properties which influence the size of the plate (thickness, height, width, angle, etc.) of the plate are described. Then, built folded plaque samples are given. In the third section, the folded steel plate was analyzed using ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL). As a result of the analysis, displacement and stress values at 901, 918, 2735, 4553, 6371 joints were examined. In the fourth chapter, nonlinear analysis and optimization of the same steel plate both linearly and geometrically is done and the results are compared. In the fifth chapter, the results of the thesis study were evaluated and the applicability of the algorithm to various structural systems was emphasized.
