Abstract (EN)
The study area is located in the North of Menderes Massif, around the Katrandağ quarter, which is bound to Simav district of Kütahya. Katrandağ Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization is a vein and skarn type mineralization in Eğrigöz Pluton. The stratigraphic sequence in the study area is bottom-up in the form of Paleozoic aged metamorphic, Mesozoic aged chemical sedimentary, Miocene aged Eğrigöz Pluton, Neogene aged volcano-sedimentary series and quaternary alluviums. According to U-Th-Pb zircon analyses the cooling age of Eğrigöz Pluton is early Miocene. The station rocks of Katrandağ Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization are respectively Eğrigöz Pluton, schist belonging to Simav Metamorphic and dolomitic limestone belonging to Balıkbaşı Formation. Schist belonging to Simav Metamorphic and dolomitic limestone belonging to Balıkbaşı Formation that has incompatible contact with one another are located in form of roof pendant above Eğrigöz Pluton. In these three different units has been observed vein/veinlet type mineralization with thin sulfide in Pluton, slightly occurred mineralized skarn contact in granitoid contact and roof pendant that consists of schist and dolomitic limestone and above this vein type mineralization that occurred in roof pendant. It has been observed that with regards to Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization the mineralization with sulfide rises in vein type mineralization, which occurred in roof pendant that consists of schist belonging to Simav Metamorphic and dolomitic limestone belonging to Balıkbaşı Formation, while the mineralization in Pluton and thin skarn zone decreases. In the mineralizations in Katrandağ Pb-Zn-Ag deposit Mn-oxide, pyrite, galena, sphalerite, fahlerz group (thetrahedrite-tennantite), hematite, chalcosine-covelline, cerrusite, magnetite and goethite have been determined as ore minerals, quartz and barite have been determined as gangue minerals.
