Conceptual photography in the context of Chema Madoz

This thesis, under the title of "Conceptual Photography in the Context of Chema Madoz", examines the artist identity of Spanish photographer Chema Madoz (born 1958), who is known worldwide for the conceptual approach of the applications related to the intellectual scope of photography, and the conceptual expression style of his photographs. The artist's conceptual character's work methodology is researched and his works are evaluated by scrutinising them with semiotics-based analysis methodology As a result, the creative identity of Chema Madoz and the conceptual framework of his photographs are addressed and the conceptual character of his works is tried to be defined by associating them in the flow of distant and near cultural art history and examining them in a theoretical context.
