Abstract (EN)

Lives in metropolis create unhappy, bored and sick individuals. German Sociologist Georg Simmel was interested in micro sociology and he investigated the psychological problems of daily life in the cities. Nowadays, cities are cultural places that deeply affect social processes and formations and consist of production oriented relationship networks. Therefore, understanding current status of the cities is important in point of showing where that society is and where it will evolve. The change and transformation in the city creates discomfort and a sense of nostalgia for the individuals in society. Recently, Antalya is at the forefront of the cities that have undergone the fastest change. In this way, in this research the traces of the change and transformation towards Antalya were searched from the perspective of researcher and writer Hüseyin Çimrin. Çimrin's childhood and present time has changed especially the individual, like Simmel's determination individual has become dull, weak and gray like color of money in the money - based metropolises.
